hey everybody Joe Hindi here and we're gonna take a quick look at the new bubble version of hangouts which people are also lovingly calling the chat heads version of hangouts let's get started once you install the new hangouts chat heads edition you'll notice the changes pretty much immediately instead of having windows that run along your taskbar you now have bubbles that go vertically up and down on the screen you can move the hangouts bubble and all the other bubbles move along with it in the settings you can set a number of things one of the most useful I'm sure will be the always on top option for those who don't want the bubbles hovering over every window that they have open there is also your classic stuff like snoozing notifications your block list your invites and all of that other stuff one of the more interesting things I noticed was that I now have a Chrome apps launcher icon in my taskbar where I am supposed to launch hangouts from the hangouts icon has disappeared from my system tray and I now must access it either through the Chrome apps launcher or through the taskbar icon I actually kind of like that because my system tray is a total mess that's really it folks there's a lot of what you see is what you get going on here and what you see is pretty much what you get the Easter eggs like shied I know still work and hangout still otherwise operates as it used to it's just in bubble form now instead of window form I for one am happy about this change because a startling number of things I need to do take place in the bottom right corner and I got really sick of accidentally opening hangouts windows instead of whatever it was I was trying to do you may require some adjustment and that's fine too it's definitely not for everyone right out of the gate that's probably why you can still keep the window version if you want it and that's it for this one folks don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already and I've posted the link to the chat bubble hangouts version in the video description below as always thanks for watching everybody and have a wonderful day
