HTC One Hands On & First Look!

2013-02-19
hey everybody I'm Chris book from android authority and this is our first look at the HTC One spec-wise it looks like the rumors were true the HTC One is powered by a Qualcomm 600 chipset with a 1.7 gigahertz quad-core processor it has two gigs of RAM and either 32 or 64 gigs of internal storage the screen is a 4.7 inch 1080p display with a pixel density of 468 pixels per inch battery life is 2,300 milliamp hours but combined with the power of fishing qualcomm chipset this could deliver more hours of battery life than you may think in a first for HTC the body of the HTC One is made of all aluminum this should make those of you who aren't fans and plastic phones pretty happy now here is where things start to get a little different while the front-facing camera is a fairly standard 2.1 megapixels the rear facing camera is for ultrapixels basically HTC says that the megapixel race is over and now it's about better pixels not more the four ultrapixel camera captures more information per pixel which should lead to improved low-light performance and generally better image quality moving on to software it starts fairly simply the HTC one bronze Android 4.1 point2 jelly bean and the new HTC Sense 5 it starts to get a little more interesting when you move on to the new features the first is blink feed which eschews the standard android home screen replacing standard icons and widgets with something that seems a little closer to microsoft's live tiles blinkfeed pulls in news feeds and data from your social networks and puts it all on your homescreen the other edition is HTC Zoe while Android devices already allow you to take photos while recording video HTC Zoe aims to meld the two together well HTC Zoe is running it keeps a one second buffer run so that when you press the shutter button the second before you press the button is captured as well this keeps you from potentially missing it HTC Zoe can also create highlight reels from a set of clips and pictures are you absolutely automatically you can tweak it if you want but there is no need to and that's it for our first look at the HTC One will have an in-depth review for you in the future so stay tuned I'm Chris woke and thanks for watching
