hey everybody Chris Wilk from android
authority here and we're pitting HTC's
new HTC One against the HTC droid DNA
first off let's compare the design and
build quality color scheme aside the
design of the HTC One and the HTC droid
DNA are very similar the first
difference is a different button layout
the second and much more important
difference is the body construction
while the droid DNA is made out of
plastic the HTC One is constructed from
aluminium you might think this would
make the HTC One significantly heavier
but it actually only weighs two grams
more looking at the specs the HTC One
features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600
chipset with 1.7 gigahertz quad-core
processor the droid DNA also features a
Snapdragon but in this case it's an S 4
chipset and a 1.5 gigahertz quad-core
processor ram is the same with either
phone at two gigs of the HTC One has
either double or quadruple the internal
storage at 32 or 64 gigs the droid DNA
16 the screen on the HTC One is slightly
smaller than the droid DNA though not by
much at 4.7 inches to the droid dna's
5-inch screen both however are 1080p
resolution the battery is also slightly
improved in the HTC One at 2,300
milliamp hours the 2020 milliamp hour
battery in the DNA on the software in
both phones run jellybean though the one
runs four point one point two instead of
four point one point one like the DNA
the HTC one runs the new HTC Sense 5
featuring HTC Zoe and blinkfeed while
the DNA runs HTC Sense 4 plus in the end
your network may decide for you more
than your preferences do the HTC one is
available pretty much everywhere but
verizon and the droid DNA isn't
available anywhere besides verizon in
general if you take the network out of
it though the only real reason to lean
towards the DNA
is if you want the larger screen
otherwise the HTC one seems to be a
slightly smaller generally improved
version of the DNA I'm Chris woke for
android authority and thanks for
watching
