HTC One vs Samsung Galaxy Note 2

2013-02-19
hey everybody Chris woke from Android authority here in this video we're going to compare the new HTC One to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 starting with design and build quality these are two devices that are difficult to compare since they have two different goals the HTC one focuses on being comfortable to use and hold the Galaxy Note 2 is an awesome device but it isn't always the easiest to hold the aluminium construction of the HTC One may be a little heavier than plastic but in this case the Note 2 is still the heavier of these two devices the HTC One features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset while the Galaxy Note 2 uses an egg Zino's 4412 chipset both feature quad-core processors though the HTC One has a slight edge being clocked at 1.7 gigahertz to the note 2 is 1.6 gigahertz both feature two gigs of RAM and both are available with up to 64 gigs of storage screen size is a big difference with the 5.5 inch screen on the note 2 being nearly one inch larger than the HTC one's 4.7 inch display but the smaller display gives the HTC One higher pixel density especially since it's 1080p while the note two's display is only 720p with the 2300 milliamp hour battery the HTC One has a significantly smaller battery than the note 2's 3300 milliamp hour battery Samsung definitely wins this category both the HTC One and the note 2 run android 4.1.2 jelly bean both devices have proprietary skins running on top of Android as well TouchWiz for the note 2 and HTC Sense 5 for the HTC One neither is objectively better and this really boils down to a matter of taste this can actually be said for both devices in general which of these two devices you are going to prefer has more to do with how you use your device than anything else I'm Chris wook and thank you for watching
