what's up guys lon here from Android
Authority and wireless charging is
awesome but it still isn't exactly what
we've imagined it should be and most
current solutions still require a cable
and an extra pad or dock in order for
your device to charge it needs to be
positioned in a very specific manner but
a company by the name of Huma box plans
to change all that
Huma boxes take on wireless charging
utilizes near-field radio frequencies or
RF charging to bring wireless charging
to virtually anything everything and
most importantly everywhere the chip is
extremely small compared to currently
wireless charging solutions and could
fit in a variety of different shapes and
sizes like a cup holder in a recliner a
bowl sunglass containers or even a
drawer the orientation or position of
the device also doesn't matter you can
place the phone upside down and it'll
still charge which makes it a lot easier
to use and it eliminates any guesswork
because we all know how finicky some
current wireless chargers can be the
benefits of this technology over
something like qi for example is how
much more convenient it is because you
can turn regular everyday items into a
wireless charging station and multiple
items can be charged in a single
container at any point in time without
diluting the charging speeds you're not
limited to just smart phones either
anything that has this particular chip
built inside of it can take advantage of
this wireless charging technology and at
Huma box's demo we saw items like
wearables mock-ups smart glasses and a
ps4 controller so the possibilities are
pretty much limitless here even though
wireless charging has been around for a
while now it's not necessarily the
technology that makes it impressive it's
the way Humabon is utilizing this
technology and playing it into everyday
life cables and docks is how wireless
charging is now but this is the real
future wireless charging the coolest
thing about this is that it's not
limited to just your home imagine
singing in a cup holder in a movie
theater or an airport terminal there's
just so much that human box can do and
from what we've seen here from CES so
far it seems extremely promising as
