Moto X Hands On & First Look!

2013-08-01
hey everybody I'm Chris Wilk and today I had a chance to take a peek at the new Moto X first let's get the specs out of the way the Moto X has a 4.7 inch 720p OLED screen and is powered by Motorola's x8 mobile computing system this boils down to a 1.7 gigahertz dual-core Snapdragon s4 cpu adreno 320 GPU and then the two low-power language processing and contextual course memory wise we have two gigs of ram and 16 gigs of internal storage with around 11 gigs available to the user apparently Motorola focused a lot on making the Moto X a phone that would be easy to hold even making the body round it on the back so it fits your grip more naturally the phone even uses a specially shaped 2200 milliamp hour battery to fit this design honestly it seems like it paid off as the Moto X is really a comfortable phone to hold according to Motorola they designed the phone and then did everything they could to put the biggest screen they could into it the 4.7 inch display is crammed into a body that makes the fairly slim HTC One seen bulky by comparison even with the same screen size since it's an oled display Ewing angles are very decent touchless control was the word of the day today and it seems that google now is integrated very tightly into the phone you don't even need to hit the power button just say okay Google now and talk away like the droid phones for verizon we looked at last week the active display shows notifications without consuming as much power and these even sort of breathe in a way to make sure you stay aware of them as we expected the Moto X uses Motorola's clear pixel technology which uses an RGB see sensor that has an additional clear pixel that is supposed to capture more light than the standard RGB sensor and pretty much every other smartphone the rear facing camera is 10 megapixels and the front facing camera is 2 megapixels we'll have a full review of the Moto X up very soon so make sure to stay tuned
