hey everybody on Chris book and we're
here checking out the Droid mini in New
York
the Droid mini is farthest from the
other two newcomers to the Droid lineup
in terms of design unlike the max in
ultra which each have five inch displays
the Droid minis display is 4.3 inches
diagonally luckily it still keeps the
same 720p resolution as the other two
phones so the pixel density is actually
higher here like the other two phones in
this droid lineup the Mini has a Kevlar
body it just happens to be a little
smaller than the other two although
there are plenty of people who think a
4.3 inch phone is more than enough all
of these phones share the same basic
hardware so the Mini has two gigs of RAM
16 gigs of internal storage and uses
Motorola's x8 mobile computing system
which dedicates two cores to
applications for to the GPU one for
contextual computing basically the
sensors and one for natural language
processing the mini will ship with
Android version 4.2.2 speaking of
language processing the new Droid has
you say ok Google now when you're ready
for it to do something
what should make those lucky few glass
users happy and show that this is
probably how Google wants us speaking to
our devices from now on like the entire
new Droid line the mini features a 10
megapixel rear facing camera and 2
megapixel front-facing camera Motorola's
clear pixel technology makes an
appearance here hoping to reduce blurry
photos and improve low-light photography
if you're watching this you can already
pre-order the Motorola Droid mini right
now for $99 with a contract the entire
new line of droids will be in stores
August 20th stay tuned to android
authority for more info on the mini and
the rest of the droid lineup
