Android 2.0 the latest installment of the open source mobile operating system has finally been outed and it brings a nice variety of new features such as a slick new contact setup support for different sized screens or event browser and much more let's take an in-depth look at what all the latest version of Android has to offer probably the slickest edition in android 2.0 has to do with the new contacts app it grabs contacts from a variety of different sources and aggregates them into a single screen allowing you to keep up with all your friends with minimum hassle new 42.0 is a very cool feature called quick contact quick contact allows you to get in contact with someone in a multitude of different ways simply by pressing their icon the feature looks and works very well allowing you to easily gather all your contacts and ping them with a single touch the best part about it is that quick contact can easily be built into any application allowing you to better access your contacts throughout your device among the new features in Android 2.0 is full support for Bluetooth 2.1 which allows android devices to not only pair to various Bluetooth accessories but also to connect via peer to peer connectivity which will allow you to easily play games share information and much more between devices another important feature is the variety of screen resolutions that Android now fully supports now Android 2.0 can scale resolutions up to 480 by 854 in most applications can scale just as easily that's especially good sounding as the Android developer site specifically states that they expect devices with that resolution to come very soon Android 2.0 features a host of other improvements as well the browser has been revamped with a nicer UI as well as html5 support has been added the virtual keyboard has been improved and now supports full multi-touch in addition there now is also a much nicer set of camera controls all in all Android 2.0 looks very promising there's nothing amazing like groundbreaking in this latest edition of Android but there are more than enough features to warrant the 2.0 monitor
