A better battery design makes Ring's new doorbell buzz

Rings video doorbell - is the best
battery-powered buzzer available today
for 199 dollars you get 1080p HD
resolution night-vision live-streaming a
160 degree field of view activity alerts
and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery
that's supposed to last for up to one
year and unlike rings original video
doorbell version 2.0 is battery is
removable that means you don't have to
actually take the doorbell off the wall
to recharge it simply take out the
battery charge it and replace it better
yet buy an extra ring battery pack for
29 bucks so you never have to wait for
the battery to charge you can hardwire
this doorbell if you want but this
models battery design is its best
feature and main selling point
it's the buzzer I'd choose to watch over
my house if I didn't have an existing
wired setup and didn't want to deal with
installing one battery aside the video
doorbell - functions much the same as
rings other buzzers you'll get a crisp
live feed in day and night vision modes
assuming your Wi-Fi connection at home
is solid and you can chat with visitors
from your phone anywhere you have access
to a Wi-Fi or cellular network my main
gripe is the optional $3.00 minimum
monthly fee you'll need to pay for cloud
video storage competitors like skybell
offer free cloud storage so I'm not sure
what's topping rain from doing the same
that said ring is slowly closing the gap
with new products features and smart
home integrations which currently
include Amazon Alexa via the echo show
if and wank if you want to avoid
electrical wiring the ring video
doorbell - is the best option especially
for its smartly designed rechargeable
battery
