Samson has taken the wraps off the
galaxy s7 and s7 edge two different
sized phones but which both pack the
same camera and it's that so that we're
taking a closer look at here the most
important thing about the camera to note
is that the resolution has dropped from
16 to 12 megapixels now that might sound
bad but there's a good reason behind it
the pixels on the sensor are physically
larger than before allowing them to
capture much more light combine that
with a much brighter F 1.7 aperture on
the lens and the s7 s are shaping up to
be formidable low-light shooters the
cameras also feature much faster auto
focusing as well as the usual wide range
of scene modes you'll find a panorama
function as well as HDR modes time-lapse
functions a range of filters and effects
and a pro mode which gives you manual
control over settings you can switch
between those in the camera app which
looks mostly unchanged from the one we
saw on the galaxy s6 video can of course
be captured in 4k resolution and there's
a slow-motion option as well the galaxy
s6 has cameras already took some superb
shots so I'm really looking forward to
seeing what the low-light improvements
bring to the table for more of the
galaxy s7 keep your eyes on CNET calm
