A new look for HP's ultraportable Pavilion x2 hybrid
A new look for HP's ultraportable Pavilion x2 hybrid
2015-06-18
a new hybrid design from HP I'm Dan
Ackerman and this is HP's 2015 version
of the Pavilion x2 this is a 10.1 inch
Intel Atom powered hybrid obviously
works like a clamshell laptop right here
and they've got a magnetic hinge as
opposed to some of the latch type
systems that we've seen before so the
screen just pops off like this you can
use it as a full Windows 8 tablet or you
can flip it around reattach it like this
and then you've got that kind of kiosk
mode and if you want to you can fold it
down and just carry it as a as a thicker
tablet here with the keyboard still
attached for convenience and when you
want to flip it back easy enough to do
you can just like this now you've got
your clamshell again what I really like
is that they've moved up to USB see this
is one of the first laptops that we've
seen with the USB C connection they use
it to charge laptop also has a full
regular USB port and micro HDMI and
micro SD card so a lot of connectivity
for something so small the Pavilion x2
is going to be available at the end of
July starting at $2.99 I'm Dan Aquin and
that's the HP Pavilion x2
