hey guys Brian Bennett for cnet com and
right now we're taking a first look at
the Moto X but on the hybrid carrier
republic Wireless and what's really
interesting about this moto x version on
public wireless is that they are
offering this phone for a very low
unsubsidized price of 299 so if you're
going to try and get that phone
unsubsidized off contract say you know
it's for tmobile or some other carriers
it will cost you pretty much twice as
much 599 so you can also get it at you
know AT&T Sprint and Verizon for 199 but
you know you saw up the you know commit
to a two-year contract but as you can
tell it's essentially the same device
and it's running Android jellybean 4.2
too so in addition to the active display
which shows notifications on the screen
without waking up the entire phone
you'll actually also be able to use the
touchless control feature which enables
you to wake up the phone or you know
basically search and initiate voice
commands just by saying the phrase ok
Google now it'll also do the quick
capture feature where you can twist the
phone in your hand a few times and pull
up the camera I'm Brian Bennett this has
been a first look at the Moto X on
republic Wireless it's available now for
299
an unsubsidized price off contract
