Acer Iconia One 7 and Tab 7 hands-on: Colorful, Android, budget tablets
2014-04-30
hi I'm Scott Stein and here at a Sears
event in New York where they have two
new Android 7-inch tablets but one a
little bit different than the other the
design pretty different
we got the Acer Iconia one seven and the
Acer Iconia Tab 7 now what are the
differences well the one seven is the
lower price one and it comes in a
variety of candy colors as a nice
ruggedized feel sturdy kind of like a
kindle fire and it runs off an Intel
Atom processor not the latest one but an
okay one and it has eight or 16 gigs of
internal storage and your basic camera 2
megapixels on the rear 129 when it comes
out later this spring /summer around May
June
now the tab 7 as an aluminum design and
also has 3G phone connectivity if you
like the idea of a massive tablet phone
a use case as a media tech quad-core
processor they both have 1200 by 800
resolution displays they're both
upgradeable to KitKat this one's Android
4.4 this one starts Android 4.2 but
they're they're kind of similar deals
not too different the price here is
going to be 149 euros when it launches
we'll find out what the u.s. price is
hopefully soon enough you're getting a
similar type of tablet feel a little
more premium here but it's not ultra
premium this is not anywhere near the
top end of the tablet market these are
both in the strictly budget territory
both feel pretty nice though keep in
mind they are also upgradable with micro
sd thank goodness whether you want
aluminum or they want slang for the kids
the one 7 or the tab 7 eraser 7 inch
Android tablets for the immediate future

event in New York
