Chromebooks those laptops that run on
Google's Chrome operating system are
typically this size are smaller which
makes this not your typical Chromebook
I'm Josh Goldman with CNET and this is a
quick look at a sirs Chromebook 15 that
features at 15.6 inch LCD a Full HD one
no less using an IPS panel that delivers
good off angle viewing and minimal glare
prices for this model started 249 but
with this screen plus a new 5th gen
Intel Celeron processor four gigs of
memory and 32 gigs of flash storage it
goes for 349 and frankly I wouldn't go
with a lesser model the bigger screen
means a bigger heavier body though so
it's obviously not as travel friendly as
the smaller Chromebooks but there is
room for a larger battery we got just
over seven hours of wireless video
streaming so it should be no problem to
push beyond that with less demanding use
the new processor outperforms the last
generation of Celoron for sure but still
behind a new core i3 Chromebook the port
assortment here is pretty standard but
you do get bluetooth 4.0 and dual band
802 11 AC Wireless which is nice because
the Chrome OS basically still lives and
dies by the quality of your web
connection I'm not crazy about the
design including the use of all this
space for speakers instead of more
keyboard but that's a personal
preference thing and at least the
speakers sound good you can read the
full review on sitcom but basically if
you want to use Chrome OS on a bigger
screen and still be mobile this is very
good to go

at the Acer Chromebook 15
