Afternoon Edition: How foolproof is home test-taking software?
2010-06-09
it's wednesday june nine I'm Natali del
Conte and it's time to get loaded
several big tech companies announced the
broadband internet technical advisory
group or bit tag today it's an advocacy
group it will lobby for an open Internet
participating companies include Google
verizon AT&T Intel and others this is
just the beginning formation of the
group but one to keep an eye on china
does not want to allow user generated or
crowd-sourced maps the country has
started to require online map providers
to operate under licenses this means
that images that are taken by users and
uploaded to a public map will not be
allowed the license would also require
must be hosted on servers within China
which would be bad news for Google since
its maps are now hosted in Hong Kong and
on Tuesday we reported that Ford SYNC
users could email their in-car
navigation directions straight from
google maps GM OnStar customers can do
the same later this month the OnStar
system will let users download
directions from google maps right to
your in-car now system.currenttimemillis
by any means that's your news for now
I'll see you tomorrow thanks for
watching I'm Natali del Conte be seen at
TV
and you've just been loaded
