Alcatel OneTouch Go Play is built for underwater photos

2015-09-04
if you've always dreamed of taking underwater photos then here's the phone that can make that happen it's the Alcatel OneTouch go play so this is a 5-inch smartphone it's running the Android operating system it's got a 720p display now that's not as high as some screen resolutions out there but this phone's probably not going to be that expensive and the screen doesn't look too bad to us so as you might not have noticed this phone is actually rather rugged it's dust proof it's also shockproof Alcatel says you'll be able to drop it from a height of up to 1.5 meters without it dying and it's waterproof as well now we've seen waterproof smartphones before but not all of them have the power to take photos underwater which is something there's a really fun thing to do now the way that's handled because touch screens don't work underwater is by using the mechanical buttons along the side in this case when the camera apps open if you press the volume down button it'll take a photo one other neat feature of this phone that's definitely worth mentioning is this screen recording app now when you tap this it'll start making a movie of what's actually on screen and it also has a little window that shows you what the front-facing camera can see so you can take a little selfie movie while you're recording you can see that being of interest to people who play a lot of games on their phone maybe want to take a reaction video to something and then share it online so a phone very similar to this is already on sale in the US in that case it's called the Alcatel boost conquest but this one is a little different this version has screen recording up and the design has changed it's coming out before the end of the year and Alcatel says you can expect to pay about a hundred and fifty dollars or less for it so it's not a very expensive phone let me know what you think and check out cnet.com slash for much much more what you give me
