smartwatches are getting ever more diverse and the one we're taking a look at today is very colorful it's very rugged and it's got some cool emotion sensing technology on board too it's the Alcatel OneTouch go watch - let's start with the basics and that's this really really rugged design this thing is waterproof and shockproof and it's dust proof as well so you shouldn't have any trouble if you're taking this to the beach or going swimming anything like that you could be able to use it in the shower it's compatible with iOS and Android so it should work with pretty much any smartphone it's not running Android wear like many of the other smartwatches we've seen which means that it might not have as many apps available that doesn't mean it has no cool software though and we're quite interested by this emotion sensing technology now what happens is that when you press and hold this Green Go button on the front the watch takes data from its accelerometer its gyroscope and it's heart rate monitor and it mixes that all together and tries to approximate what your mood is it then puts a little graphic on-screen which shows you what you should be doing based on the emotions it believes that you're feeling now we don't know how accurate these readings are really going to be in terms of gauging your mood and emotions so on but it's quite cool it's a fun feature and you can share your mood graphic to social networks if you wish it's going to be on sale later this year we don't have an exact price yet but expect maybe around one hundred and fifty dollars or slightly less let us know what you think and check out cnet.com slash but much much more
