Amazon, Best Buy become BFFs to sell Fire TVs (CNET News)
2018-04-18
Amazon and Best Buy are teaming up to
sell Amazon fire TVs wait a second two
mortal enemies of the retail world
joining forces and working together well
don't be so surprised Best Buy already
sells Amazon devices in its stores such
as the fire tablets and echo smart
speakers this new layer of the
partnership will have Best Buy as the
exclusive seller for more than ten
different fire TV models made by Toshiba
and now Best Buy's insignia brand this
is all starting in the summer Amazon
fire TVs have the fire streaming
software built into the TV with Alexa
voice commands
now Amazon is partnering with Best Buy
to better compete against Roku TVs for
people who still want to go into a store
and see it before they make a purchase
Amazon may be blame for the downfall of
traditional physical stores but Amazon
has partnerships with other retailers
too for instance you can return Amazon
products at Kohl's stores of course
Kohl's did that to get more people in
the door and in Reverse Sears started
selling its Kenmore appliances on
Amazon's website it's like they say if
it can't beat them join them so do you
still travel to stores to get a feel for
a gadget before you buy it
