Amazon Go imagines the future of grocery stores (CNET News)

amazon is expanding its empire beyond
the virtual space and into the real
world the online retail giant announced
amazon go a physical grocery store where
shoppers can just pick out an item and
basically just walk out without so much
as reaching for their wallet all you
need is a phone and an app scan the
phone to step into the store and Amazon
takes care of the rest
they keep close tabs on inventory using
a series of cameras sensors and machine
learning similar to the technology found
in self-driving cars so anything you
grab will automatically be added to your
virtual cart and then charged to your
account when you step out no lines no
registers and no human interaction
Amazon calls it their just walk out
technology which I'm pretty sure
shoplifters had already been using for
decades their pilot store in Seattle is
up and running but for Amazon employees
only Amazon go officially launches
sometime in 2017 if you want to know
exactly when you can go online and
