was blue too-good-to-be-true the blue r1
HD was the best-selling phone on Amazon
a basic Android phone that only cost
around $60 but Amazon has stopped
selling the phone and all other blue
phones this week following reports that
some blue models are loaded with spine
software a pre-installed program that
secretly tracks users text messages and
activity and sends that information to
China the fact that blue had spine
software isn't exactly breaking news
researchers discovered this back in
November and at the time the phone
manufacturer blue said it fixed the
problem but it didn't quite fast forward
to today and researchers still found the
tracking software inside a different
blue phone blue denied any wrongdoing
that says it isn't a process of review
to get those phones back on Amazon blue
was part of Amazon's prime exclusive
phones
you see Amazon sold boot phones as such
a discounted price in exchange for
putting Amazon ads on the phone's
lockscreen blue says the questionable
software made by Shanghai add ups
technology is not spyware and that has
several policies in place which take
customer privacy and security seriously
