first up Amazon refreshed its fire
tablet line with a $50 7 inch fire you
can actually buy them in six packs for
250 dollars there are also new versions
of the Amazon Fire HD 8 at $150 in a new
Fire HD 10 at 230 dollars the new fire
tablets are available for pre-order now
and will be released on September 30th
Amazon also introduced a new fire TV
set-top box that supports up to 4k Ultra
HD video it also includes Amazon's
answer to Siri Alexa the fire TV stick
will also get a LexA with a software
update on Wednesday Apple introduced a
new version of its phone and tablet
operating system iOS 9 it brings lots of
new functions to iPads including picture
and picture video and the ability to run
two apps at the same time Siri is also
smarter with Google now like suggestions
the Notes app can do a lot more with
photos and you can now draw in that app
and for anyone looking for Apple's app
known as passbook it's got a new name
it's called wallet because it's a
digital wallet Apple watch was supposed
to get a software upgrade but a bug has
delayed its rollout Apple says it will
release watch OS 2 shortly this week the
headlines read Facebook to introduce a
dislike button turns out that's only
half true in a town hall Q&A Facebook
CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the
company is working on a new button to
express empathy on Facebook where a like
wouldn't make a lot of sense so Facebook
is working on something but it's not a
button that lets you down both posts
