lock screen notifications are finally
available in Android lollipop letting
you view alerts without having to unlock
your device by default notifications
appear as cards you can swipe down to
expand swipe to clear away or tap to
launch you have a few options for
customizing the way these notifications
work to change the settings head to
settings then sound and notification the
main option lets you decide how and if
lockscreen notifications appear show all
means all notifications and their
previews appear hide sensitive info lets
notifications appear but those content
previews won't show up and finally you
can disable lockscreen notifications
entirely as a bonus you can now control
apps specific notification settings in
the app notifications list you have an
option to block notifications entirely
and enable priority which puts the
notifications at the top of the list and
forces them to appear even when you're
in priority mode and here's something
that could easily go overlooked if you
tap and hold a notification in the lock
screen you can hit this gear icon or
info button to access the app specific
notification settings for more Android
