Apple is the latest tech giant to fall
off China's Great Firewall just six
months after it launches online
streaming services the country has now
banned iBooks and iTunes movies the New
York Times reported that the country's
state media regulators issued the ban as
part of a larger crack down on foreign
based Internet services other services
like Google Facebook and Twitter pay
similar restrictions under China's Great
Firewall as they call it as well as
other online print and broadcast media
the news could present a major setback
as a company looks to increase iPhone
sales in China now its second-largest
market behind the US Apple's 4-inch
iPhone se was hugely successful there
with 3.4 million sold just in pre-orders
despite less impressive figures in the
US market Apple told the New York Times
that they are working on making these
services available ASAP to their
customers but the process could drag out
and put other services in jeopardy Apple
music and Apple pay are still available
for the time being but they may soon
suffer the same fate if China decides
they compete with their own local
businesses
