I'm Dan Ackerman and we are here with this very important little package just back from the new Apple Store at Grand Central in New York what if I got here it's not an iPad one it's not an iPad 2 it is the third generation iPad sometimes referred to as the new iPad don't call it an iPad 3 and we are going to do one of those always popular unboxing videos unlike some of them this is actually a real unboxing this is hot off the store floor and I'm gonna have to fish out my cage so we can get the shrink-wrap off this guy here we are taking the shrink-wrap off and look at that looks a lot like the other iPad boxes I've seen and then just gently open the lid here it is got the typical plastic on the front right here we're gonna peel that off and here we are you know they say it's a little bit heavier I can kind of see that they say it's a tiny bit thicker also looks about the same to me it's probably you'd have to put them side by side to really tell all right let's see what else is in the box we've got the plug for our AC adapter right here and we've got that little cardboard sleeve that has instructions in it and your little SIM card key which you'll probably never really have to use the USB cable if you lose that another 20 or 30 bucks and other than that I think that's it so that is our first third-generation iPad we have successfully unbox it now I'm going to turn it on and have a little fun with the exciting new Retina display ident Ackerman and that has been the iPad 3rd generation
