Apple is bringing augmented reality to iOS this fall they're getting in the AR game with AR kit it works on iPhones and iPads Union iPhone 6s or se or later or you need one of the new 9.7 inch Apple iPads or one of the iPad pros what it does is similar to what Google's showing off with tango or what Facebook was showing off with its AR tricks you can place objects in 3d in the real world look at them through your screen and move them around the demos of AR kit that we saw at WWDC look like they could cast realistic 3d shadows and also stay in place when you moved very impressively especially considering that this can work with any camera on those devices this will be available as part of iOS 11 and developers are going to start being able to dip their toes into it now and it shows that augmented reality is definitely going to be here according to Apple they're going to be the biggest player in that market we'll have to see but right now a our kit already looks more impressive than I expected
