it's official Apple will unveil the next iPhone on September 12 the companies sent out invitations to the annual event with the tagline let's meet at our place while we usually sit and analyze the tagline and the image on the invitation this one seems to be pretty simple it's the reference to the venue this will be the first event held at the Steve Jobs theater a 1000 seat venue inside Apple Park that's the new Apple Campus in Cupertino California some Apple employees began moving into the main spaceship building an Apple Park in April 2017 but work has still been going on elsewhere on campus so what can we expect from this event the next iPhone or iPhones to mark the 10th anniversary of the handsets release we may also see a new Apple watch and get a closer look into the company's augmented reality efforts with a rket new operating systems like iOS 11 and Mac OS High Sierra will also be launched hopefully we'll get more information on the Siri powered speaker home pod that's set to be released in December as usual we'll have all the details in the lead up to the big day on cnet.com
