I'm David karna a executive editor for
cnet.com and I'm here with a bit of news
from Barnes & Noble no it hasn't
announced new products yet but it has
done something interesting it's added
Google Play to its existing tablets the
nook HD in the Nook HD plus so that
opens up the device to 700,000 apps
previously some people complain that the
device just didn't have enough apps on
it before yes Barnes & Nobles existing
app store will continue to coexist along
with Google Play but everything about
Google Play will be there will the
download apps there's music as well as
movies so that'll compete right
alongside with Barnes and Nobles
offerings you also get the Gmail app as
well as Google Plus and on top of it
Barnes & well has switched to the Chrome
browser for the browser in this device
so no new hardware to report this time
but obviously adding the Google Play
Store is a big deal opens this device up
actually two devices and this will be
available as a software update as soon
as that's announced I'm David Carnot a
and that is a bit of news from Barnes &
Noble adding the Google Play Store
thanks for watching
