hello everybody it's Lynn la for cnet bringing you guys the iphone 4 for virgin mobile now as you may know HTC has had a long strong hold on the iphone 4 years then Verizon and Sprint were able to offer the handset currently all three carriers are selling the phone under a two-year contract for ninety-nine dollars virgin mobile is one of the few prepaid carriers that offer the device with no contract under its network the price tag jumps up to five hundred and fifty dollars but you can pay for service on a month-by-month basis with unlimited data messaging and minutes costing about fifty five dollars a month in comparison Sprint's unlimited data plan goes for about 110 dollars for smartphones another difference is network performance virgin mobile uses sprint's network and from what we could test here in our San Francisco office the 3g speeds weren't the fastest compared to other networks keep in mind however that data performance depends on a number of factors including location so the speeds we see might differ from what you see other than that virgins iphone 4 is still pretty much the same as all the others you still get a 3.5 inch Retina display access to the iTunes App Store FaceTime calling the 5 megapixel camera and iOS 5.1 for full recap on all the iphone 4 features that we've already covered be sure to check out seen at tv.com again i'm lyn bringing you guys on iphone 4 for virgin mobile
