tibay a dynamic dt 770 studio is a $200
professional monitoring headphone that
deserves a wider audience than just
bedroom musicians this headphone offers
excellent sound clarity in conjunction
with a bomb-proof build unless you have
very deep pockets the 10-foot and
non-replaceable cable means the DT 770
studio is staying at home which is a
shame because they compared them against
the Portable 32 own version and the
studio is actually sound better in noisy
environments such as public transport
the headphones have an 80 ohm impedance
which means they're only a little harder
to drive than most headphones they have
a closed back for excellent noise
isolation and the fit with the plush ear
cups is very comfortable don't let the
looks or the studio moniker put you off
though if they're not quite suited to
mobile use these headphones are perfect
for listening on a computer or other TV
where the long cable can come in handy I
listen with plenty of different types of
music and they don't fall into the trap
of making poorly recorded music
unlistenable they have plenty of deep
bass clear mids and nice Airy highs
which makes them suitable for most types
of music or movies while you can
certainly get cheaper monitor headphones
for example the sony MDR 7 506 or the
audio technica ath m50x the Bayer
dynamics are more comfortable and offer
better mid-range detail the only real
drawback to the 770 s is that they are
ostensibly a guitar center exclusive
however if you can find a set check them
out they're worth the trip
