hey guys my name is Steven beaten for crave and I'm here with buddy the first social robot personal assistant from blue frog robotics also joining me is Rudolph hustle vonner the CEO for blue frog robotics thanks for coming by Rudolph he's gonna answer some questions about buddy and give us a demo of the robot so buddy is an open-source robot powered by unity 3d and Android software but it also is a free range robot so we can walk around your house so tell us how you got the idea to build buddy and what sorts of things can it do for you so I manager well-known Research Laboratory in robotics for a professional application when you play our defense and the kind of thing and assistance two years ago we decided to we wanted to transfer all this high technology in a real foldable robot so we have created first Cotto type and we have tested this prototype with a lot of people and last year where I created blue from robotics to launch the robot so but it is for family children and seniors and at an example we can watch your house when you are not there it can patrol internal mostly and detect fire burglar food and it can send you send you an alert on your smartphone and when you receive this alert you can take the control of the robot at distance it's like telepresence and you can see through the robot and check if there is a real problem you can control your smart home it can play music and kind of help you on your deli yeah so buddy is a modular robots you can put different attachments on the robot for different needs so what types of attachments are available for the robot now so we have developed accessories like arms and one of them is an armed with the pico projector so we can project under the floor on wall or everywhere you want it's an open platform so we have developed a scanner of accessories but we we hope that the community will develop their own accessories has anyone designed a modular attachment for body that you amazing thing like on specific arms able to play with your dog able to catch ball and sound the ball and move around with the dog and play with this with the with the doggies it's funny we call the answering some really rapid-fire questions we try okay so how many buddies do you have in your house 1 have you ever been annoyed by buddy and kicked him over yeah does buddy ever swear occasionally yeah yeah ok who would win in a fight buddy or Wally from the Pixar movies buddy and do you ever get nervous getting undressed in front of buddy what cuz he has a camera on and we were wondering he has a camera on him so would you get nervous of the cameras on you me yeah yeah ok when can you expect buddy to be on the market how much is it gonna start in terms of price so in IndieGoGo campaign the price is six hundred forty nine dollar and the final retail price for the end of the next year will be seven hundred $49 749 yeah and when can we expect to see that you're saying the end of next year yeah for Christmas the Christmas time next year yeah Christmas time next year buddy in your house under your tree all right so this is buddy the personal assistant robot you can check it out on IndieGoGo com thanks for watching thanks buddy oh yes I love go for a walk you
