it's never too late to find out that the
Apple headphones that came with your
iPhone can do a lot more than adjust the
volume so after seeing a handy slide
show about all these cool functions on
Business Insider I thought I'd share
them with you in a video and by the way
you can use all these tricks with an
iPod or iPad and with any other third
party headphones I have a mic and remote
with these three buttons ok let's start
with the basics if you're listening to a
song you can toggle pause or play by
tapping the center button once to
fast-forward a song tap the middle
button twice and long press on the
second tab to rewind a song tap three
times and long press on the third tab to
skip a song double tap and to go to a
previous song triple tap ok here is a
commonly used one if you have an
incoming call tap once to answer and
when you're done tap once to hang up you
can also ignore an incoming call by long
pressing the middle button you should
hear two beeps to confirm that that
person was sent to voicemail now if
you're on the phone and get a new call
tap the center button once to switch
calls to hang up on that new call hold
the middle button down for two seconds
here's one of my favorites you can
achieve super steady shots by using the
headphones as a shutter release just
frame the shot and tap the volume up
button to take the photo okay one last
one for you iPhone 4s owners you can
activate Siri by long pressing the
center button then go on and say your
command call Chris Parker now that you
know everything your headphones can do
you'll probably want to practice make
flashcards rewatch this video or
