CNET How To - Backup and transfer PlayStation 4 game saves
2014-12-04
when the PlayStation 4 first came out I
did a video that showed you how to
replace the hard drive it's a relatively
simple process and if you replace it
before you start playing any games
then you're good to go but what if you
want to pick up a different system say
the white bundle that comes with destiny
or if you want to go ahead and replace
the hard drive after you played hours of
Call of Duty or another game well
there's no need to fear because there
are actually two simple ways to transfer
your game data if you're a PlayStation
Plus subscriber you can upload your game
saves to Sony's cloud servers this can
be done by going to settings selecting
applications saved data management
followed by save data and system storage
choose upload to online storage select
the game data you want to transfer to
the cloud and click upload if you don't
trust Sony servers or you're not a
PlayStation Plus subscriber you can also
transfer data using a USB stick in the
save data and system storage section
click on copy the USB storage device
select the game data you want to
transfer and click copy then from your
new ps4 sign in to your PlayStation
account and head back to the application
save data management section in the
settings menu if you save your data in
the cloud select save data and online
storage followed by download to system
storage if your data was on a USB stick
select save data on USB storage device
choose to copy the data to the system
storage and select the game data that
you want to transfer over it's as easy
as that for more how-to like this one be
sure to check out how to see Netcom you
