probably not if you are one of those
people who thought it stunk windows 8.1
improves the operating system in nearly
every way possible one of the most
talked about changes is the ability to
now boot directly into the desktop
allowing you to avoid that clutter and
complicated Start menu this can be done
by entering desktop mode and
right-clicking on the windows taskbar
next select properties click on the
navigation tab and check the box that
reads go to the desktop instead of the
start when I sign in now the next time
when you turn on your system you'll go
straight to the desktop without ever
seeing the Start screen windows 8.1 is
