CNET How To - Control your Galaxy S III with motion gestures

one of the little-known features unique
to the samsung galaxy s3 is the motion
activation it lets you complete
day-to-day tasks a little easier using
motion gestures to enable it you'll have
to go to settings motion and turn motion
activation on from there you can select
which motion features you want to use
there are a bunch of options to choose
from but I'll show you a few one of them
is tilt to zoom so when you're looking
at a photo or a web page to zoom in hold
your two thumbs and tilt towards you you
can let go to hold the position and to
zoom back out put your two thumbs back
on and tilt away from you one of the
other cool motion gestures is turn over
to mute or pause when you activate it
and set it face down on a table all
incoming calls message alerts alarms and
even music will be turned off and silent
then when you pick it back up all of
your normal sounds will go back on
alright the last example and one of my
favorites is palm swipe to capture if
you ever need to take a screen capture
of a funny conversation or a web page
with this activated you can just use
your palm to swipe across the screen and
it'll capture it your screenshot will be
saved in a screenshots folder in the
gallery and it'll be copied to the
clipboard so those are just a few of the
motion gestures but you can check out
the rest in the motion settings Plus
each one comes with its own set of
instructions on how to use it
specifically to check out more features
that are unique to the samsung galaxy s3
