with Windows 10 each time you connect to
a new network you have the option to
share it with your contacts on Outlook
skype and facebook so when friends and
family members come over they won't have
to manually enter in a password there's
been a lot of fuss about this feature
but your friends will actually know your
exact password because it's encrypted
and stored in the cloud either way you
can choose to simply not share that
information when connecting to a new
network or you can disable the feature
altogether this can be done by going to
settings selecting network and internet
followed by Wi-Fi scroll down to the
bottom of the page and click manage
Wi-Fi settings then uncheck the three
options to share your network below that
you can also unshare any networks that
you previously shared up top you can
turn off the ability to automatically
connect to open hotspots and network
shared by your contacts now turning off
the sharing features only one small part
of the equation if you want to make sure
connected users can't share your network
with their contacts you have to add
underscore opt out to the end of your
networks name this method is different
depending on your wireless router but
you can head over to how to cnet com to
learn more you can also reach out to me
on Twitter with any questions or
comments you may have i'm dan graziano
