hi I'm ty Pendlebury from cnet.com and today I'm going to show you how to get rid of the banner ads on your new Panasonic television now we're quite familiar with banner ads on web pages but as far as TVs are concerned this is quite new so we're going to show you how to get rid of it on this new Panasonic ZT 60 so you get your new 2013 TV home and this is what you're greeted with when it turns on you get a banner ad on the screen and if that's not bad enough what may also happen is that when you adjust the volume you get another banner ad but luckily there is an easy way to get rid of this first you press the menu button on the top left hand corner of your remote control go to setup then display customization and go to VIERA Connect banner which should by default be set to on so you just choose off and exit out of the menu and now when you turn the TV on again or adjust the volume control you'll find that you won't get that annoying banner on your screen so one new feature of the new Panasonic TVs is that it gives you a number of different home screens to select from but most people will probably just want full screen when they turn on their TV and use the apps button to select their apps so here's a way to just have it full screen all the time so first you go into full screen TV then you press your home button which is the top green button on your new remote and then press your blue button for settings so go down to power on option at the bottom left and select always this home screen so that's how you customize your home screen and get rid of banner ads on your Panasonic TV I'm type N or brief for cnet.com
