brand-new Galaxy Note 3 smartphone now
includes a larger higher res display a
faster processor and a bigger battery
all of this and more is wrapped up in a
slimmer and sleeker package but let's
not forget the devices most prominent
feature I'm talking about the S Pen of
course I'm Dan Graziano and I'm going to
show you how to get the most out of the
galaxy note 3 stylus the S Pen is
located at the bottom of the device on
the right hand side removing it will
automatically launch the brand new air
command menu this provides quick access
to features like action memo scrapbooker
screen right s finder and pen window you
can also hover over the screen and click
on the button on the side of the S Pen
to access this menu action memo lets you
hand write notes that can be linked to
different actions such as calling a
number adding a contact sending a
message or an email searching the
internet or looking up the information
on google maps scrapbooker lets you
screenshot a portion of the screen and
these images are then transferred to the
scrapbook app where you can add things
like written memos and tags screen right
does exactly what it sounds like
it takes a screenshot and then allows
you to write on the screen using the SN
s finder is a new system-wide search
tool that allows you to search for apps
contacts and even handwritten notes this
feature can also be enabled with a long
press on the menu button pen window lets
you open multiple apps on top of your
screen this feature supports the
calculator the clock YouTube phone
contacts chat on hangouts and the
browser apps boxes can even be resized
and minimized to your home screen for
easy access other cool S Pen goodies
include the S Notes app which lets you
draw and take notes using a stylus then
there's also Samsung's new pen up social
network this gives you a chance to
showcase and comment on different things
you and others have created with the S
Pen you may be saying to yourself these
features are great and all but come on
I'm gonna lose that stylus in the first
few days Samsung hopes to avoid this
with its new S Pen keeper feature this
will alert you when the stylus and phone
are separated this feature can be
enabled by going to settings
clicking on the controls tab and
selecting the s-pen option for more tips
