you can now place a free phone call using the Facebook for iOS app from your iPhone using Wi-Fi or your data connection from your cellular provider I'm Jason Cipriani a scene at how-to contributor and this is how the feature works so after you've updated the app what you'll need to do is launch it view your messenger contact list select a contact tap on the I in the upper right-hand corner and then tap on free call you can then place the call as long as you have a connection and if you want to continue to browse within Facebook you can tap on the red bar to return back to the conversation you have a speakerphone and miu option as well now when you receive a call it's not as obvious as a normal phone call on your iPhone you actually just get a push alert and once you slide it over you can answer or in the call now you'll need to make sure the person you're calling is using an iPhone with the updated Facebook or the messenger app that rolled out this feature a while back this is a really simple feature to use it's one that doesn't use your minutes and you're able to use it from anywhere as long as you have a connection I'm Jason Cipriani a scene at how-to contributor make sure to visit us at how to see Netcom
