CNET How To - Rid your Android quick settings menu of oddball toggles

I'm a big fan of Android 5.0 lollipop I
love the new look and most of the new
features but there's one thing that has
been driving me insane and that's the
quick settings menu when you pull down
the notification bar you can do a second
swipe to quickly access quick toggles
for things like Wi-Fi Bluetooth and
airplane mode it's really useful but
what I've been knowing me is that when
you use it as a hotspot or invert color
feature a new icon will appear in this
menu the only way to get rid of this
icon is to leave it alone for 30 days
and it will simply disappear well I
didn't want to wait that long so I
figure out an easy fix for this here's
what you can do head to settings click
date and time and uncheck the box for
automatically setting the time then
select set date and choose the same date
from a month ago pull down the quick
settings menu and toggle the hotspot or
invert color feature on and then back
off then head back into the settings
menu and recheck the box to use your
network provided date and time and voila
just like that those annoying icons what
disappeared for more how to's like this
