if you love making live photos on the
iPhone 6s or 6s Plus then you'll
definitely want to show them off but you
probably noticed that if you share a
photo over email or post to social media
it's just the still image here are two
different ways to share the moving part
of your live photos the first is between
your phone and another iOS 9 device in
the camera roll find the live photo and
tap the share icon turn on airdrop on
both devices select the name of the
recipient and it will send a cross now
your friend can see the live photo and
watch it just by pressing and holding
the image but if you want to share them
with users not on an iOS 9 device or
running elcapitan you're out of luck
right wrong here is one workaround
connect your iPhone to a Mac via a
lightning cable and open up the image
capture app so lect the iphone from the
devices tab and you'll be able to see
all the still photos and their
corresponding live photos these are
actually just videos import the MOV file
for the live photo you want on its own
it's a video but you can turn this into
a jiff that looks like a live photo and
then share it on Facebook Instagram or
email use an app like jiff maker or
upload to an online service then you can
share your animation far and wide for
more on live photos and general iPhone
