party through your use of voice
recognition it sounds like something
straight out of George Orwell's 1984 but
it's a bit overblown most Android
devices and even the Microsoft Kinect
have similar always on listening
features plus the problem only affects
certain Samsung TVs that include a
microphone and built-in camera such as
this 60-inch Plasma from 2013 while most
of samsung's Smart TVs do have some sort
of voice feature almost all of them
including this 4k model from 2014
require you press the microphone button
on the remote before it starts listening
regardless if you're scared that Samsung
and some third party are listening to
your conversations you can easily turn
off the voice recognition feature go to
the menu and select smart features then
simply scroll to voice recognition and
switch it off you will no longer be able
to use the high TV command to activate
voice features but you can still use
them by pressing the microphone button
on your remote for more how-to s like
this one be sure to check out how to
