the controller at the e3 expo in los
angeles microsoft and sony revealed
their vision for a brave new virtual
world microsoft's hololens is a wearable
holographic computer that opens up a way
to play using augmented reality the
company showed how users can display
game worlds from minecraft on a wall or
even a tabletop microsoft also partnered
with oculus the virtual reality company
owned by Facebook every oculus rift
headset will come with an Xbox
controller and the ability to stream
xbox one games via Windows 10 you want
there to be a good story you want there
to be a reason that you use you're
putting on this headset for it you know
a couple of hours and cutting yourself
off from the real world you don't want
you want there to be a compelling reason
to do that Sony pushed hard on the VR
front with project Morpheus the headset
which works with the PlayStation 4 will
allow multiple players to experience a
single world together it's not all
virtual reality though as players will
soon get updates to existing consoles
I'm pleased to announce Xbox one
backward compatibility Microsoft now
lets you play selected games from the
older xbox 360 right on the Xbox one
without you needing to buy the game
again Sony took aim at cable TV with the
ability to buy access to individual
channels through its PlayStation view
service and will be the first pay-tv
service to allow users to subscribe to
individual channels without the purchase
of a multi-channel bundle come 2016 the
way you use your console may look very
