cnet update does your coffee maker need
an internet connection well Philips
thinks so the company introduced several
new home gadgets that are connected to
your home network including a coffee
machine that takes orders from an ipad
app there's also the home cooker next
which can download cooking instructions
to properly roast steam and saute your
dish those two are just concepts but
next year Phillips will be shipping an
air purifier that could be controlled
from your smartphone as well as a baby
monitor that goes beyond Wi-Fi with a 3g
internet connection and if you think 3d
printers are cool wait until you see
this at the ephah tech show in berlin
cnet got an up-close look at the
3doodler a pen that pushes out heated
plastic which quickly cools and if
you're crafty you can make some
interesting sculptures or fun doodles it
costs one hundred dollars and the
company is taking pre-orders for the
unit which is expected to ship in
February reports are coming out about
Microsoft's next version of the surface
tablet and how a new keyboard cover will
have a built-in battery Microsoft
officials have dropped hints about this
before and we're hearing the same thing
again from other windows blogs with
sources saying that charging covers are
in the works there's just no word yet on
how much of a battery boost this will
provide the cheaper surface RT gets
about 7 to 8 hours of battery life and
the surface pro with full windows 8
lasts about four or five hours more
details are coming in about Samsung's
Galaxy gear the SmartWatch will arrive
in the US in early October the same time
as the galaxy note 3 phone t-mobile is
launching the devices on October second
18 T's pre-order page says it will ship
around October first and Verizon is
shipping on October 10th the large note
3 smartphone and the gear SmartWatch
both costs three hundred dollars each
the phone of course is priced with a
contract and that launched the
SmartWatch will only work with the note
3 samsung said that in time other galaxy
devices will be compatible with gear it
won't be long before Apple
feels the next versions of the iphone on
tuesday we are expecting to see a
high-end iPhone that's a slight upgrade
from last year's model as well as a
lower cost model that's made of plastic
instead of aluminum and we'll get the
official release date of the new iOS 7
