were without electricity as of Tuesday
Google planned to announce new nexus
tablets and a smartphone in New York but
due to the storm the devices were
introduced online Google's Nexus 10 will
go head-to-head with the iPad it has a
10 inch screen with higher resolution
than its Apple counterpart but the
difference may be imperceptible to most
the Nexus 10 is cheaper than the iPad
running four hundred dollars for the 16
gig version Google will sell a
five-hundred-dollar 32 gig version to
the tablet hits the google play store on
november 13th there are also new
versions of the 7-inch Nexus 7 the 16
gig model dropped to two hundred dollars
and there's a new 32 gig model for two
hundred and fifty dollars and one with a
cellular connection for three hundred
dollars in the smartphone category
google announced the nexus 4 made by LG
it'll run the latest update to jelly
bean Android 4.2 and also has a wireless
charging feature beware it will not tap
into 4G LTE the Nexus 4 goes on sale
November 13th it comes unlocked with a
starting price of two hundred dollars
for an eight gig version but it can be
bought with a tmobile contract all these
new devices will have the updated
jellybean system which among other
upgrades has improved voice search
google has also made this feature
available in the Google Search app for
iOS and it's proving to be a much faster
alternative to Siri going so far as to
transcribe queries as users speak Google
hasn't given its voice search a name but
users can either ask the voice assistant
questions or just rattle off words that
they would normally type into Google
search box moving on to Windows now
microsoft says it sold four million
copies of windows 8 since friday's
launch Windows 7 users can
download an upgrade for forty dollars
