several new gadgets Tuesday including
two new nexus smartphones two types of
chromecast and a new hybrid Android
tablet with a keyboard there's lots to
go over so let's jump in with the phones

marshmallow come in two sizes the Nexus
6p is the larger of the two with a 5.7
inch screen it's made by Huawei and it's
the first all-metal body Nexus phone it
starts at five hundred dollars and if
you want something a little smaller LG
made the Nexus 5x with a 5.2 inch screen
it starts at three hundred and eighty
dollars google is taking pre-orders from
both now online at the Google store and
they ship later in October both phones
have a 12 point three megapixel camera
on the back that take 4k video these
phones have software to take slow motion
video and take a burst of photos to
stitch into an animated gif both are
charged with the new USB type-c port
which works no matter which way you plug
it in and it offers faster charging in
fact it tells you how much time is left
for a full charge both also have new
fingerprint sensors on the back called
Nexus imprint and he use them for
payments or security these phones come
unlocked to work on multiple carriers
but if you want to use Google's new
wireless network project 5 it'll work
with that as well for the first time
google is selling an insurance plan for
phones it's called Nexus protect it
gives you two years protection from
mechanical breakdown and accidental
damage and if it's stolen you can get a
replacement it's seventy dollars for the
Nexus 5x and ninety dollars to protect
the Nexus 6p now on to the chromecast
there's one for your TV and one just for
your speakers as for the TV streamer it
still has the low price tag of $35 but
now you get a new disc design in three
colors for the cord that hangs it behind
your TV it has stronger Wi-Fi connection
and it can handle more data with less
video buffering the chromecast app also
gets a boost with better search and
discovery of things to watch you can
also stream some android games to the TV
and it supports multiplayer as long as
everyone has a phone the chromecast for
TV can also stream your photos from apps
like flickr facebook and the google
photos app so speaking of Google photos
it also is getting several upgrade
including a way to share albums with
multiple people so mom and dad can add
photos to one link and grandma gets
alerts when new photos are added you
also be able to do more complex searches
like search with the phrase Maggie
hiking and it will show you all photos
of your friend Maggie's face with a
background that looks like she's hiking
the chromecast Audio is for streaming
music from your phone to any speaker
system in your home it's also $35 google
also made an android tablet with a
removable keyboard this is called the
pixel see the C stands for convertible
and it all snaps together magnetically
getting both the 10-inch tablet and the
keyboard costs six hundred and fifty
dollars in total that's coming out later
