Car Tech - Ford debuts the sleek, all-new Escape

hey everyone we're here at the 2015 los angeles auto show and behind me is the 2017 ford escape now they've kept a lot of the same technology that we've always left in the escape but they've given us a lot of new stuff as well the base model will get the 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine but the SE and the titanium trims will get either a 1.5 liter ecoboost four-cylinder or a two liter ecoboost and both of those EcoBoost engines will get the start/stop function new safety features for 2017 include lane departure warning forward collision warning Lane Keeping Assist and adaptive cruise control the remaining tech includes our favorite hands-free liftgate blind spot monitoring and a parking assist system now the front fascia has been revised with new sleeker headlight design and those are standard projector beam on the higher models you do get a high-intensity discharge headlights as well LED taillights are standard across all trim lines and there's three new color options lightning blue canyon ridge and white gold the 2017 escape does come with the sink three feature and there's been a little bit of shuffling in the interior there's a new storage space from my smartphone I've got an electric parking brake and my shifter has been moved so that I've got more space on the center console as well I've got an optional heated steering wheel I'm Emmy Hall frisina thank you so much for watching us here with the 2017 ford escape be sure to tune in for all of our coverage here at the los angeles auto show you
