hey everyone we're here at the 2015 los
angeles auto show and behind me is the
2017 ford escape now they've kept a lot
of the same technology that we've always
left in the escape but they've given us
a lot of new stuff as well the base
model will get the 2.5 liter
four-cylinder engine but the SE and the
titanium trims will get either a 1.5
liter ecoboost four-cylinder or a two
liter ecoboost and both of those
EcoBoost engines will get the start/stop
function new safety features for 2017
include lane departure warning forward
collision warning Lane Keeping Assist
and adaptive cruise control the
remaining tech includes our favorite
hands-free liftgate blind spot
monitoring and a parking assist system
now the front fascia has been revised
with new sleeker headlight design and
those are standard projector beam on the
higher models you do get a
high-intensity discharge headlights as
well LED taillights are standard across
all trim lines and there's three new
color options lightning blue canyon
ridge and white gold the 2017 escape
does come with the sink three feature
and there's been a little bit of
shuffling in the interior there's a new
storage space from my smartphone I've
got an electric parking brake and my
shifter has been moved so that I've got
more space on the center console as well
I've got an optional heated steering
wheel I'm Emmy Hall frisina thank you so
much for watching us here with the 2017
ford escape be sure to tune in for all
of our coverage here at the los angeles
