if you leave your car in a tight parking
space or your garage is really cluttered
Ford may have a solution for you this is
a completely self parking car it's
actually a step towards the autonomous
cars of the future now with this car you
can get out before it goes into the
parking space hold down a switch on a
key fob and the car will put itself in
the parking space you have to keep your
finger down on the button it works is
kind of a Deadman switch so that if
anything goes wrong you leave that off
the car immediately stops also with its
ultrasonic sensors if it encounters an
obstacle it will also stop like if a
child runs in back of it the car uses 12
ultrasonic sensors that's very similar
to the technology that's currently in
Ford's automated parallel parking system
along with controlling the steering it
also controls the braking and
acceleration and this is actually a
gasoline engine car so it actually can
start the car up by itself the system
uses an RF ultra wideband frequency to
connect key fob to the car and the key
fob merely sends a signal in the car to
tell it where to park you don't actually
control the car with the key fob now
this is merely a concept but this
feature could come out in the next few
years I'm Wayne Cunningham foreseen it
