what's up folks
Antoine Goodwin here on the floor at the
2014 Paris Auto Show and here's
something that you're not going to see
on American soil anytime soon it's a
Honda Civic hatchback and it's the Type
R now this new type r concept is going
to be powered by a 2-liter version of
Honda's Ivy Tech engine but it's also
gonna be augmented with a turbocharger
now what that means is that this guy's
gonna output about 276 horsepower at
least Honda's not actually locked down
the numbers yet it's gonna be front
wheel drive like every Civic that's come
before it and it's going to use a
six-speed manual transmission but from
new things that we're gonna see on this
vehicle are a three-stage adaptive
suspension so you'll be able to switch
between different modes for Street and
for track there's also a plus R button
next to the steering wheel and all in
one sort of sport button that's gonna
set the engines performance and the
suspension set up at their most hardcore
track ready and Honda maintains that
this wide-body Civic is a track car and
that they're gunning for the Nurburgring
front-wheel drive record with it again
I'm probably not gonna see this on the
street any time in North America but a
version of this will probably be hitting
European streets Japanese streets
sometime in the next year or so I'm
Antoine Goodwin on the floor at the 2014
Paris Auto Show taking a look at the
Honda Civic type-r concept
