I'm denied Antoine Goodwin on the floor
the 2015 LA Auto Show and over my
shoulder is the new 2017
Nissan Sentra a 10 this small 4-door has
flown under the radar for the last
couple of generations but Nissan is
hoping that its new angular front end is
gonna turn more than a few heads it
inherits that front end from the larger
Nissan Maxima in Altima sedans
now it also inherits some very advanced
safety check including adaptive cruise
control blind spot monitoring with rear
cross traffic alert and automatic
autonomous emergency braking if somebody
stops in front of you the car can
automatically brake and stop itself in
the cabin we also get a tech overhaul at
the top of this line we're looking at a
5.8 inch color touchscreen that's gonna
use its nissanconnect infotainment
system we've also got a host of
connected features including some Sirius
XM
monitoring and alerting features and a
couple of bells and whistles that are
going to help you monitor teen drivers
including things like curfew alert and
speed alerts under the hood things are a
bit more pedestrian we're only dealing
with a 1.8 liter naturally aspirated
four-cylinder engine that puts out 130
horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque
you can get that with a six-speed manual
but only in the most basic models most
of these are going to roll off the line
with Nissan's xtronic CVT the 2017
Nissan Sentra is gonna start at about
sixteen thousand seven hundred and
eighty bucks with the top of the line
models cresting just under $20,000 when
it hits the market sometime next year
we've been taking a look at the 2017 the
