DeLonghi MultiFry 1363 review: Fries food with air and less oil
2018-01-31
here's a type of countertop appliance
you probably haven't thought about much
air fryers the DeLonghi multi fry 1363
uses powerful convection fans and a pair
of heating elements to cook food it uses
much less oil yet potentially makes food
with superior texture and flavor than a
regular oven DeLonghi also describes
this gadget as a multi cooker don't be
fooled though the multi fry cooks lots
of different fried food well but when it
comes to dishes like stews soups and
rice its no instant pot it's great at
cooking items you'd normally deep-fry
for best results for example it handles
french fries well batches we cooked were
consistently golden brown and delicious
crisp on the outside soft and creamy on
the inside it won't speed up the cook
times of tough cuts of meat though it
will sear them it will also burn them if
you're not careful and there aren't any
fancy presets or cooking modes either
all you get is a thermostat on the top
and the ability to turn the bottom
heater on and off priced at 230 dollars
the multi fried is expensive too you can
buy an instant pot style multi cooker
for as low as $80 so the multi fry only
makes sense if you want a healthier way
to prepare fried treats you eat often
otherwise I say give it a pass
